The owner of the Robbie Burns Hotel, Katie Pye, arranges special events throughout the year.

 

​​For example Mudjilali – “Walking Together” – with our local elder Uncle Ossie Cruse weaving the stories of the past and present for understanding and acceptance of the beauty in our differences. At the heart of the event is recognizing the indigenous and other cultural traditions that make up Australia as we know it in the 21st Century.

And not forgetting the wonderful “Carmen, The Cabaret” performed by Eliane Morel and Daryl Wallis, award-winning creators of “Disenchanted”.

Then there’s Joshua McHugh, genius bush pianist, composer and puppet master with a lot more talent than is humanly believable!

 

We love to put on cultural events across diverse art forms, bringing the community together and enlivening us to the splendid talents of artists both local and from afar.
